| Andersson
& Kruse are the songwriter team who travelled in
Europe for five years ago and start working as
street-musicians. During this period they found the music
and songs of Cornelis Vreeswijk, and established
themselves as skilful interpreters of his music. Back in
Sweden A & K performed in the national radio, and
declared how hard it is to established as a troubadour in
Sweden depending on the difficulty to find new and
exciting Swedish poems or lyrics. The painter Gunilla
Bruzewits-Nüth heard the program, and contacted the guys
regarding poems and lyrics her deceased husband Leif
Nüth had been written during his lifetime. The result of
the co-operation between Andersson & Kruse and Leif
Nüth is recorded on the CD "Läs mig..." Joel Andersson, born 1965, grew up in Västra Frölunda. Started his musical career as a member of the boys' choir of Gothenburg's cathedral 1972. He got drunk for the first time on Southern Comfort for almost twenty years ago. Joel has never really played in a band he has more fiddled around on his own. He built a tiny studio in his parent's "gardenhouse", and together with a friend he recorded a symphony-rock album which was presented to the a & r on Polar records in the middle of the eighties -the rumour tells that the cassette became ejected out after 20 seconds according with the words: " This is the worst shit I've ever heard.". Joel earned his living as a street-musician in Stockholm for a couple of years, until he met Patrik. Patrik Kruse, born 1967, grew up in Västra Frölunda. Started his musical career as a guitarist in several garage bands through the eighties. Later he played with a couple of coverbands and a few theatrical performance. In 1985 he started the band Blond Bomb, an attempt to make a popcareer. He got drunk for the first time at the age of 13 on two bottles of home-brewed wine. After that, he didn't touch alcohol for 7 years. Beside the Corneli's and Nüth's material, he writes songs of his own, which he hopes to present on a CD in the future. |
