| Wish's
debut album, Wish, which was released in February '95,
has opened many doors to a successful career for this
talented Gothenburg group. One of the doors leads to the
Swedish mass media, another to the record-buyers and a
third to the international recording business, in Japan
for example. The strength of Wish doesn't lie in its calculated use of profile, but rather in the consummate ease with which it handles simple, 3-minute pop tunes, and in the precision with which it crafts its striking melodies and powerful choruses. Wish's new album Temporary love & hate is clear proof that its melody-making skills have reached an even higher level than on its debut CD, and Anja Ryne sings every song - which certainly adds to the attraction. Focusing on Anja is unavoidable. It would be a waste of talent to deny her access to a single song A piquant touch of spice is added by the rough voice of "Ebbot" Lundberg - leader of Swedens most fameous rock´n roll band "The Soundtrack of our lives" - and a string quartet from the Gothenburg Opera is in our opinion a perfect complement to this compelling follow-up to Wish's first CD. It is with
undisguised pride that we present Wish's new CD,
Wish
